Nicolò Umberto Foron, an Italian-German conductor and musician, concludes his year residency as assistant conductor for the London Symphony Orchestra in March 2024, an honour awarded to him for winning the prestigious Donatella Flick competition.
Foron, 25, began studying conducting aged 9 and has worked with Tanglewood Festival, the Royal College of Music and the Ensemble Intercontemporain Paris. In August 2023, he was named the German National Broadcasting's Young Artist of the Year and, as part of his prize, will be touring and recording with the Deutches Symphonie-Orchester Berlin in 2024.
